2024-02-22. Nyland, Sweden. Stringo, the original and world’s most loved vehicle moving solution, launches the Stringo S5 for automotive professionals who need safe, single operator vehicle moving with a 5 ton capacity.
The S5 will introduce the company’s next generation of vehicle movers which have a number of features and benefits. The next generation drive unit platform—with a powerful AC drive motor, advanced user design and steer-by-wire—is a key aspect of the S5 and meets the needs of the automotive sector as it shifts to Electric Vehicle (EV) production. The new product will help move these heavier EVs and models with strength, efficiency and with excellent manoeuvrability. And above all, with maximum safety, the core pillar of all Stringo products and solutions.
It’s also AGV (Automated Guided Vehicles) ready with its new CAN bus that allows all AGV softwares to run on it with minimal integration. AGV is a growing segment of automotive manufacturer production environments helping save both money, increase productivity and maximise safety. By having its machine AGV ready, the S5 can be deployed in these environments effectively.
