This year, Stringo will bring two new critical solutions to Automechanika via Aberle-Automation, the first time these new products will be shown and explained to potential customers.
The first is especially relevant to testing engineers, end-of-line managers working with the new EV production lines, wind tunnels and dyno environments. The threat of thermal runaway—a phenomenon that occurs when a battery's temperature increases rapidly due to an uncontrolled chain reaction within the battery cells. This leads to the potential for fire and even explosion—is a threat that needs special features for maximum safety.
Stringo’s S5 Thermal Runaway Enhanced Kit (TREK) 4WM machine, the first on the market to address this threat, attains this through options and features to protect operator and reduce risk of breakdown in case of a thermal runaway. Equipped with a remote control option, the S5 TREK 4WM can manoeuvre a potentially hazardous vehicle (one releasing toxic gases and heat), keeping the operator at a safe distance during the extraction.
The second product solution, the S5, dubbed the next generation of vehicle movers, is a major milestone for the company, the first machine on its new platform. The S5 replaces the legacy Stringo 550—the company’s five ton moving solution—with a major upgrade of technologies. With a powerful AC drive motor, advanced user design and steer-by-wire. AGV ready and one that will help move the heavier vehicles safely and with ease.
